Thanks guys.

Obviously, I missed the "forum upgrade" post. Stylegala has a very fast content turn-over and this unfortunately means that items quickly drop from view. very few of us have time to monitor each and every site update so I hope people can understand how easily a post can be missed, especially on a forum that has lost its search functionality and generally isn't functioning as it should.

Most of the discussion about my "What's up with Stylegala.com?" post has taken place on stylegala.com where I apologised for missing the initial post. Praise to Simon (I now know his name) for the way he handled my rant, and to the fact that he agreed he should have highlighted the issues more clearly, possibly in the site masthead rather than in the comments of an old post.

I think I should explain that my intention wasn't to 'stir up a hornets nest'. I think my points were genuine and fair, listing what was broken and asking if anybody new what was going on. Yes I was frustrated, but if you read my post again you'll hopefully see that a lot of what I said was actually complimentary, understanding of how ownership changes can have teething problems, and in essence showing concern for the future of Stylegala rather than trying to pull it down.

Steven Tew,
Hi Steven, I regret to inform you that you will have to re-create your user account over at stylegala. You should be able to use the same log-in name as before, I could. But you will probably have to re-register.
Many of the posts including your past posts, are now attributed to Lost_User, because of some database back-up issues, or table re-writes is maybe more of the problem.
The forum is functioning normally again.
The website has more participation and contributors, despite the forum problem’s, and will continue to grow.

Now Stylegala rocks!!! again. Some problems like i lost all my post, but doesn’t matter because it was only a few. I really sorry for all the user that lose their posts and topics and level and all this stuff. Let’s begin.

i agree. the site has definitely taken a turn for the worse. i rely on a few sites to my information from... ALA, stylegala, and one or two others, but stylegala more than anything else.

i saw the note about the forum updates, but who knows. i just hope they get their stuff together.
