New words erupt from Nathan’s mouth at an incredible rate now. But because he’s only two and a half years old they’re not always decipherable. He’s more than happy to settle for his own unique interpretation of a word, especially if it avoids one of those tricky letter l’s, and he’s always happy to amend any word that challenges his view of the world into something that makes more sense to him.
So here are some of my favourite examples; the ones that keep me smiling. See if you can guess what they’re supposed to be!
Answers tomorrow ;-)

Yes Steve! I remember that phase well, some of the words they come up with! My daughter and son are a little older now, but still manage to make me laugh with the odd mistake..
PINNY - NIPPY
TOAD IN THE HOLE - MOLE IN THE HOLE
FRISBEE - FRISBERRY
I hope you are well, Steve - I have forgotten what you look like! Everytime I picture you, I see Louis Theroux!
All the best, COLIN

You mean like this? Could be worse I guess!
Just for the record that’s not me in the picture. That’s the real Louis, I promise! But I can see why people get us mixed up sometimes - it’s the feather boa isn’t it?
Looking carefully though you’ll notice his nipples are smaller than mine. So if you should bump into one of us and you’re not sure whether to shout “Hey Steve!” or “Hey Louis!” take a sneaky peek under the shirt. That should clear things up for you. :-)
